The month of October

I can't believe that it is already October 19th. Wow, where has this year gone? As a child it seems like time creeps by and then as we get older it seems like time flies by, and we just wish it could slow down. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays; I love the movies, dressing up, throwing parties, and feeling free to be creative.

Some of my favorite movies for the season are Halloween Town, Hocus Pocus, and Harry Potter. I am not a slasher movie kind of girl, but I don't mind a really good, haunted house to get the blood pumping.

During October, I do not read Halloween related books. The same is true at Christmas, I do not read Christmas related books. I know.... call me crazy. I love to celebrate the holidays, however I don't want the holiday to consume my whole life. I watch the movies during the season because that is when they are out. The seasonal books will be there for me to read at another time. I am always on the hunt for a good book.
